According to the Minnesota Astronomers Planetary Society the reason behind the change of the zodiac sign is because of moon's gravitational pull on Earth, that makes the alignment of the stars to move about a month.
Today the real signs of the Zodiac are 13, this is base on Ancient Babylonians 13 constellations.
